Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs through the Kenya highlands vast plantations of tea, coffee, pineapples and subsistence farmlands.
The semi-arid area of Samburu game reserve is in the remote region of Northern Kenya. Lake Nakuru is located in the rift valley region. It is a home to vast of greater and lesser flamingoes among other different bird species and big game such as rhinos, leopard, lion, zebra, buffalo, antelope, hyena, among others.

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
At 9 am drive north via Mount Kenya past coffee plantation to Samburu Game reserve noted for the unusual reticulated giraffe, Grevy Zebra, gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich. Picnic lunch and in the evening game drive en route to the campsite. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2: Samburu
A full day in Samburu Game Reserve. With early morning and late afternoon game viewing. Meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast with game drive en-route. Drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare mountains to descend into the Great Rift valley where Lake Nakuru is located, via the Thomson falls. Meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Nairobi
After breakfast proceed for game drive in Nakuru National Park to see flamingoes and other birds also guaranteed to see the black and white rhino. After lunch depart for Nairobi arriving in the evening. NB: This itinerary is also available in reverse order.
